We arrived at our home (for the next 6 days) and it's called the Kilauea Rainforest House. It looks like this during the day:
...but we arrived last night at 8 p.m. local time, which means it's pitch black.
We (meaning Leila) wake up at 4:15 am local time, which is 10:15am EST. Both Mandy and I are very happy that we received about 6 hours of relatively uninterrupted sleep, so we start our day. After some scrambled eggs and sweetbread breakfast, with some Chocolate-Macadamia nut flavoured coffee, we think about planning our day ahead. Well, 2 of us do. Leila decides that this very moment, something we should do is have a dance party:
I didn't put the clip up of Mandy dancing with her in her housecoat, but Leila's idea was a very persuasive one, so we all got involved. When I used to hit those all night raves/parties, there was always a bunch of Asian kids that would bring pillows and just hang out on the floor around pillars and walls. Now I get it - at 4 a.m., boy do you feel like partying. Clearly pulling all nighters is for suckers. I only wished I had learned this years ago.
