Leila and Ethan start off every morning (sometime around 5 am) with PB & J sandwiches. I'm not sure whether it's the Portuguese sweet rolls or his constant singing of the Slovenian classic "jaz pa ti" (a song about the Slovenian dream), but Ethan speaks with a European accent and sentence structure. After hearing either "IT'S RAINING" or "I SEE THE RIVER," he typically says " I want it da peana batta. "
He's also very blunt and direct with his thoughts, saying things like "I hit da Leila" prior to taking a swing at her. Naturally, like any Euro, you can quickly distract him from finishing that sort of action by offering him food.
Leila has been an awesome big sister. Sometimes misguided (like pushing him over so he doesn't head in a direction he's not supposed to), she has been teaching him all of the valuable life lessons she has picked up in the past 4.5 years.
She has also become increasingly brave. She started off scared of even the smallest ripples, she has now started challenging some waves, getting bowled over a couple of times and laughing it off.
